The museum looks artistic!

Bistro!

There is a cafe, Bistro on the Willamette University campus!

Many cute sofas are there!
A lot of people who are Willamette students go there, and they spend time to study, talk with their friends, read books, or use a computer…
Many students can relax there! Bistro is a popular spot on the WU campus! :)

LU'AU!

A show, LU’AU was given at Willamette University on April 16th.
The show was awesome!

My image of Hawaii was hula dancing, but a lot of kinds of performances were performed by many people there!

It’s significant to maintain a tradition and understand other tradition.
The show was made me curious to go to Hawaii and challenge to hula dance there someday!!
The event made me happy:)

Pow Wow!

An event, Pow Wow was held on March 12th.

Native American Indians were wearing colorful costumes with wings like a peafowl and bells on their feet there! Their steps were unique. There were a lot of people including children and elderly people.

Those songs and dancing were very different from Japanese songs and those were really unique.

My IPC leader told me about the song.
A man who has cancer was sitting in the middle of the circle, and a lot of people surrounded him.
They were singing for him. Many people sang then.
It's important to know those meanings and different culture;)

IPC Thank You Party!

The TIUA IPC Thank You Party was given on April 8th at Kaneko Cafe.
This party was the event to thank for our IPC leader:)

A lot of games were given then. Many people like their own IPC group, Green, Red, Blue or Yellow.
My Group was the Green Group, and my IPC, Kelsey and Julieta planned many events!
The events with Green Group members were very fun!!

Unfortunately, Julieta couldn’t come then, but all green group members wrote  a message to them.
The screen that people who join leadership made was wonderful:)

Our IPC groups are finished ;( ,but this party was very nice for me!

Black Tie!

A dance party, Black Tie was held in Salem on February 18th.
This event is held for Willamette University and TIUA students every February!

Many Japanese people don't dance wearing formal dresses in Japan, so it made some students so nervous before it started. It's not a problem to be not able to dance well;) It's important to just enjoy!

Some music that I know were played there, and a lot of people danced to the music with smiles. It looks very interesting!

It was really fun and a really nice experience;)  Many Japanese people who are in there will probably never dance with a formal dress and high heels shoes in Japan, so it was a really nice time in America!!!
